Congratulations to Grant Schlauderaff for being awarded the Genetics T32 Training Grant!
Grant is one of our newest graduate students and hopes to use this opportunity to help diversify his training in the field of genetics.
The Utah Genetics Training Program provides students with professional development opportunities and academic skills in genetics. The program not only helps advance students' research but also emphasizes community engagement, equity/inclusivity, and ethics.

Myla Van Duyn joins the lab through the PathMaker Bridge program, Welcome Myla!
We are happy to welcome Myla, who is joining us as part of the PathMaker Bridge program. She is a local science teacher at Granger High School and hopes to learn how to integrate cancer studies into her class curriculum.
In addition, she is establishing a connection between her students and the researchers we have here to show them what a future in research will look like.

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship is a nationally competitive scholarship that honors excellence in research for undergraduate students pursuing research careers.
The foundation was established in 1986, and has awarded 10,760 scholarships since.
